question about group invites - Guild Wars Forums

When I click on a PC, does it automatically invite them to group with me? It appears to me that it does. I was clicking on various PC's last night simply to see their class and level, and every time it appeared to invite them to form a group with me. Is this really what is happening? If this is the case, is it possible to view someone's class/level info without inviting them to group? Don't want to waste a higher level's time, as I'm only currently 5.
